About

The Freedom to Dance movement was born as a result of the banning of couples from dancing at the United Kingdom Championships in 2010. In 2011 the very first Freedom to Dance, Open to the World Competitions were held in the United Kingdom.  Next year we celebrate our 10th year!

In 2011, Singapore along with many other countries asked to join the Freedom to Dance movement and since that time we have over 77 Ambassadors and 62 competitions being held throughout the World!

The mantra of Freedom to Dance is simple – all couples from all Associations, Federations and Organisations are free to dance when and where they wish, without the threat of banning.

Long may we be all free to dance!
