Youth couples are allowed to compete one age group above their own age group.
Senior couples are allowed to compete one age group below their own age group.
Couples dancing 2 Dances Open are also allowed to enter 3 Dances Open.
Couples dancing 3 Dances Open are also allowed to enter 4 Dances Open.
Couples dancing 4 Dances Open are also allowed to enter Open competitions # 1 to 14 regarding their age group.
Couples dancing 2 Dances Open are not allowed to enter 4 Dances Open.
Couples dancing 2 and 3 Dances Open are not allowed to enter Open competitions # 1 to 14.
International/Masterclass level couples are not allowed to enter 2, 3 and 4 Dances Open competitions.
For Juvenile, Junior and Youth couples both partner must be within the age restriction on the day of the competition.
For Adult couples one competitor of the partnership must be within the age-restriction on the day of the competition.
For Senior couples both partner must be within the age restriction in the year of the competition.
For 2 Dances Open competition clothes not allowed and restricted syllabi applied Pre-Bronze ISTD-IDTA.
For 3 Dances Open stoned/glittered ballroom/latin clothes and tail suit not allowed and restricted syllabi applied up to Gold ISTD-IDTA.
For 4 Dances Open competition clothes allowed and no restricted syllabi applied.
